Ryan M. Tarrant
Ryan is certified by the State Bar of North Carolina as a specialist in Family Law. He is qualified as a North Carolina Parenting Coordinator. Ryan is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, where he serves on the Membership Committee, and the North Carolina Bar Association, where he is a member of the Young Lawyers Division and Family Law Section.
A proud product of Wake County Public Schools, Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his law degree from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where he received honors in Family Law. Ryan has devoted his entire legal career to Family Law and is an experienced trial attorney. In addition to zealously representing his clients in the courtroom, Ryan enjoys assisting them in resolving their domestic issues outside of court through the negotiation and drafting of separation agreements and property settlements, as well as through mediation and arbitration.
Ryan has presented on a variety of Family Law topics to fellow attorneys at several legal education seminars. Since 2017, Ryan has been named a “Rising Star” in North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine and in The Best Lawyers in America in the category of Family Law in since 2018.
Recognizing that his clients are at a stressful and uncertain turning point in their lives, Ryan aims to get them through the necessary legal process as smoothly as possible. He believes in knowing the facts of each particular case well and applying the law in negotiations or trial to get the best result possible for his clients. Ryan is a part of his clients’ support system, there to walk them through any scenario and help them address any fears, indecision, or uncertainty. Ryan helps his clients create a new future with stability and optimism amid challenging life transitions.
When he is not assisting clients, Ryan can likely be found spending time with his three incredible daughters, hanging out with his dog, Georgie, cheering on his beloved Tarheels or fishing.
